A Rice Field Tribute to Alex Eala

PhilRice created a portrait of Filipino tennis player Alex Eala using rice plants in Nueva Ecija. The field artwork uses different varieties whose colors will make the image clearer as the plants mature. It is a tribute made through agriculture, planning, and a little patience, turning an ordinary field into something people can slowly watch appear.
