A Giant Bat Helping Apayao’s Forest Grow

The golden-crowned flying fox, one of the world’s largest bat species, was documented in Flora, Apayao. Found only in the Philippines and classified as endangered, this fruit bat plays an important role in forest regeneration by carrying seeds across the landscape. Medyo intimidating ang size, but its work in the forest is quietly helpful.
