140 Hawksbill Turtle Hatchlings Return to the Sea

One by one, 140 tiny hawksbill sea turtles made their way toward the waters of Zamboanga Sibugay. 🐢 Hawksbill turtles are critically endangered. They also play an important role in marine ecosystems by helping maintain the health and balance of coral reefs. Every successful hatching matters. It means more turtles entering the ocean and another chance for their population to continue. Not every hatchling will have an easy journey. But for one morning on a Philippine shore, there were 140 new reasons to hope.
